Food
There are several decent local venues for food, coastal cafe’s and decent local pubs, some within walking distance.
Local Cafes
Old Mill Cafe – Wembury
Situated at the back of Wembury Beach, excellent to replenish during a walk, but check the opening hours befor eyou set off!
Cliffedge cafe – Bovisand
Just beyond Bovisand Beach, and excellent Cafe with outdoor seating, they will take orders over the phone for pickup if driving over.
JennyCliff cafe – Hooe
Parking nearby, or at the end of a long walk from The Skelligs, has an excellent view across Plymouth Sound
Local Pubs
eddystone inn – Heybrook Bay
When you have achieved nothing else in the day this is a pleasant pub to walk to around the point. Tarmac most of the way aside from a slight gravel decent into Heybrook Bay. Save some energy for the walk back up the hill. Excellent Sunday Roasts, Great View
mussel inn – Down Thomas
While it remains walkable, the walk itself is less interesting, along country lanes, with a short sharp climb as you get close. This is more of a gastropub, though also viable as a thirst-quenching stop. Often busy it is best to call ahead and make a reservation before you visit.
the odd wheel – Wembury
At the very top of Wembury Village, this is a well-loved spot for both drinking and dining, attracting locals and visitors alike. The pub has a rich history, with its origins tracing all the way back to the year 1794, according to the landlady!
