Beaches

The coast path from Wembury to Bovisand has multiple access points to the shoreline, the majority of it is rocky, which is excellent for rock pooling. The section from Wembury to the old LIDO at Wembury Point does become sandy/shingly in some places.

Local Beaches

Wembury Beach

Supported by a National Trust Car Park, Cafe and public toilets, this is the easiest beach to get to, as a walk or by car, but parking gets busy in the summer. Allows a mix of sunbathing, and rockpool investigations with a Marine Centre on site too.

Wembury Point LIDO – Derelict

Can see some photos of this in it’s heyday on the frith page. A pebbly beach with some hard standing at the back of the beach. A walk away from the house. No sandcastle viable here, but rockpools, and sea glass hunting aplenty.

BOVISAND BEACH

The closest Golden Sand beach, parking, and facilities available by the Cliff Edge Cafe. Also a small shop next to Cafe Bovisands, and another beach to the south of that Cafe. Excellent sunsets from here, and this about an hour’s walk from The Skelligs
